Jamaica Vacation

Hello again friends!

What better way to jump back into this blog then to tell you about my last great trip?  Just before buying our house, M and I and his daughter took a 10-day vacation to Negril, Jamaica.   It was fabulous!  I keep saying that had I not needed to make sure M and his daughter got home safe, I would have stayed in Jamaica.

My idea of a great trip in another country is always to experience the culture first hand.  While I, of course, enjoy a nice resort, I also thoroughly enjoy experiencing more authentic accommodation.   One of our main goals on this trip was to have as much fun as possible while keeping the whole trip reasonably priced.

When planning our trip we found a neat option at Firefly.  Firefly had a couple of small rustic cabins that rented for a very low rate.  They also had a pick-up service that would meet you at the airport and transport you to the resort.  We reserved the whole 10 days there.

Before telling you anything else, I want to give you a warning…  First,  if this is your first trip abroad, I advise you to look for an all inclusive resort.  Second, be careful.  Third, many people will hand you things, if you reach for the item, they will expect you to buy it.  Lastly, and maybe most important, watch your money/valuables closely and be aware of everyone and everything around you.

Don’t let my warnings deter you or make you nervous, I had an absolutely amazing stay in Jamaica however, M probably won’t be traveling out of the country any time soon…

Really though, Jamaica was amazing!  I’ll spare you the boring words and share the pretty pictures.  If you can ever swing it, you should go!

Happy Meandering 🙂
